    Purpose of the job:

     

    This new start-up is currently looking for a Cloud Developer to develop the proof of concept (POC) for their innovative system and become the leading technical figure of the organization once the full product is developed.

     

     

    You will be responsible for understanding the ecosystem, setting up the developing strategy, following the guidance and support of the CTO/Cloud Solution Director. You should be able to comprehend the complex data input and find the best solutions to address and implement the POC challenges.

     

     

    Self-motivated and self-educating, yet willing and able to work collaboratively with the wider organisation believing in the project like we do; someone who can dive into an ongoing large scale project and not get overwhelmed.

    Accountabilities:

     

    ● You have an engineering/Computer Science degree

    ● You have at least 5 years of experience in software development

    ● You have at least 2 years of experience in web development

    ● You are an experienced user of React and GraphQL

    ● You have experience managing AWS Services or Azule (Lambda, SNS, DynamoDB, Aurora

    RDS, Step Functions, CloudWatch, EC2)

    ● You have experience with APIs, distributed systems and Microservices Architecture

    ● You speak and write English at a professional level

    ● Broad knowledge of the major cloud vendors with deep knowledge of at least one of them;

    ● Ability to Envisage, Architect, Deliver and Run innovative cloud-based client solutions

    incorporating advanced analytics, AI, IoT, machine learning and secure workplace

    technologies;

    ● Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or

    Virtualized environment;

    ● Deep hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of business

    software including cloud software at scale or current hands on technology infrastructure,

    network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience;

    ● Data Integration of AWS/GCP/Azure cloud services with on-premise technologies from

    Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP etc;

    ● Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g. shell, Python, Ruby, Powershell).

    ● Providing the high-level levers for cost-effective cloud delivery.

    ability to manage and build strong relationships both internally and externally;

    ● Ability to develop strong relationships and be able to influence colleagues, senior client

    stakeholders, partners, suppliers;

    ● Ability to quickly explore, examine and understand complex problems and how it relates to

    the overall business;

    ● Ability to listen and collaborate and listen with technical and non-technical customers;

    ● Ability to operate effectively and collaboratively in a high-pressure, fast paced environment;

    ● Well organized with a healthy sense of urgency, able to set; communicate; and meet

    aggressive deadlines with competing priorities;

    ● Proven experience delivering business benefits from business case definition to operation;

    ● Proven experience creating and delivering presentations and proposals to senior

    stakeholders (CTO & CEO) to win business buy in;

    ● Capturing high-level business requirements, functional requirements and aligning technical

    solutions;

    ● Prior experience of working in a client-facing capacity;

    ● Ability and interest on recruiting, onboarding, guidance, and mentorship of additional team

    members;

    ● Experience of delivering complex engagements either as a leader or a senior member of a

    team.
