GCP (Google Cloud) - DevOps Specialist
A GCP DevOps specialist engineer required for an exciting new software project with a UK based client.
Fully remote working, the ideal candidate will need to be able to work UK business hours and have very strong English language skills. The ideal candidate will join a growing agile virtual team to work on an exciting new application being built on an underlying GCP platform
Must have a broad understanding of GCP infrastructure services: GCE, GSC, GKE etc, with development/scripting experience (e.g. Python) and GCP Dev tools (Cloud Build, Cloud Source Repositories etc.). Additional AWS platform experience desirable. Solid technical background, with experience in implementation work; for example, enterprise Java development or infrastructure automation. A thorough grasp of agile and lean delivery concepts and methodologies, and a demonstrable history of successfully applying this knowledge. Strong general knowledge of what might be referred to as the "DevOps toolkit": continuous integration platforms, infrastructure-as-code frameworks, application release automation tools, IaaS and PaaS technologies etc.
You should be a DevOps consultant with GCP implementation skills with real-world experience of both good and bad DevOps cultures and practices. Successful applicants will draw on a wide range of skills covering software development, technical architecture, IT service management and infrastructure operation.
The role is expected to continue for 6 months+ and a long term working relationship is hoped for.
